The professional tour will focus on regional planning and projects in the fields of economy, transportation and the environment in the Hunderland region and the "campus" neighborhood model in Amsterdam
Day 1
Flight from Tbilisi to Amsterdam and from there by train or an organized shuttle to Arnhem. There we will settle in the hotel and take a first tour to get to know the city that serves as the capital of the district.
Day 2
On Tuesday, we will meet with the representatives of the district and the cluster of local authorities, and learn about the model in which they work for regional economic development and partnership between the different settlements. After that we will tour the projects in the industrial area and other sites in the city.
Day 3
We will leave the hotel in Arnhem and travel by organized bus to visit regional projects in neighboring cities in the province, including energy restoration projects, environmental quality, industrial projects for the disabled, cooperation between rural and urban settlements, development of transportation projects, etc. In the evening we will arrive to Amsterdam and spend the night there.
Day 4
A guided tour of the “campus neighborhoods” projects in Amsterdam that were established on dry sea areas and function as autonomous neighborhoods.
Towards evening we will arrive to the airport and fly back to Israel.
The cost of the tour per person in a double room: $1680 (including flights, hotel, meals, shuttles and transfers, trainings)
